Great free music has been fisted forth once again from the Foilface clan. Their second EP is entitled "EP2"(perhaps in homage to the Ronseal approach to naming?) It's no cause for concern though; although the title of this EP may be slightly lacking in imagination, the contents is most certainly not.
A great lyric and melody combo that will hook you in faster than an open day at a brothel comes in the first track, called "Hello Everybody Eyebrows", when these words of advice are forcefully bestowed upon us in typical Foilface style: "Why don't you just colour your hair like Bryan Ferry"!
The free mp3 player is on the homepage, so have a listen online to this first track and you'll see what I'm talking about. As with the first Foilface release - Jean-Claude Naive EP - whole of this second EP is available as free MP3 downloads, or free zip download from the Manchester band's own website. I suggest grabbing these tracks while they're on offer.
365 Guitar Ditties from Mad Professor Higham
Wednesday, April 07, 2010 | Labels: acousticprogress, guitarist, manchester, paul higham
Paul Higham is an awesome guitar playing afficianado from the gloomy north. His latest mentalist escapade involves churning out an original guitar tune every day for a year.
The project is called acousticprogress [365] - if you like musical projects that sidestep the conventional toss, you should definitely pop in.
I think this tune is my favourite so far, but it's already hard to pick, so christ knows what the agonising choices will be when the next 353 pieces are thrust forth.
